Let me tell you about Grindaz! Grindaz are more
than just an idea created for the hot debut release, "Strictly 4 Da Grindaz," from Suthernfolk, Albany Georgia's latest buzz.
Grindaz are the fibers that built and maintain every aspect of American society. From the crumps of the fast food struggle,
to the cheese of the American rat race, to the doe of the American crime scene, Grindaz exist on and off the radar. Grindaz
are the biggest parts of you and I, and Suthernfolk is for Grindaz. Suthernfolk was born Jack Brown in Albany, GA, and reared
in Boston, GA. His knack for grindin' began in high school where he got kicked out of his first school for grindin' a little
to hard against the grain. It was at his second high school where the first roots of Suthernfolk began to form. He started
making recording on a small tape recorder with a group of rappers at the school, recordings they were all very proud of at
the time. "We would record a beat on one tape and play it in the background and record lyrics and verses over it on other
tapes until we were done...The quality was shot but that's all we knew back then." That is the Story of Jack Brown, the beginning
of Suthernfolk. The story of Suthernfolk begins conception of his daughter, Nevaeh. In his second year of college he faced
the decision to abort his first off spring. He originally decided to go forward with the abortion, and began grindin' to raise
money for the abortion by employing a few different hustles. He eventually decided against that course of action, and changed
his life. "I took the money I was going to use to kill my child, and went and bought a keyboard [and started Third Eye Productions],"
he remembers, And so that was the year that my Neveah and Suthernfolk were born. He didn't begin to grind with Jangalang Entertainment
until after a failed transaction with producer KenJo, one of the company's major decision makers. "My cousin told me he knew
KenJo, and hooked us up. He tried to charge me $400 a track. I said to myself hell nall," Suthernfolk recalls. He turned down
that relationship with the producer and aimed for more. He ultimately secured a recording contract under the Jangalang label,
spearheaded by rap group TheR.I.P.Y..(Ken Jo and Paul D) and manager Gerard Singfield. Just before signing with the label
he and KenJo built the Black Hole, his Albany, GA recording studio, and he started a production company, Third Eye Productions.
He has opened shows for Trick Daddy, CeeLo ,Goodie Mob, Crime Mob, Field Mob, Franchise, T.I., Lil Wayne, Young Buck and many
others and has also recorded with and produced for Field Mob, TheR.I.P.Y., Ms. Cherry, Big Nod, F.a.s.t. and other popular
artists. Today he's prepared with a compilation of songs poised to thrust him into the forefront of what's hot in the music
